INGV – The official website of SAVEMEDCOASTS-2 (Sea Level Rise Scenarios along the Mediterranean Coasts-2), the second operational phase of the European Project SAVEMEDCOASTS inaugurated in December last year, is online.
The project, coordinated by the National Institute of Geophysics and Volcanology (INGV) and funded by the Directorate General for Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid of the European Union (DG-ECHO), aims to prevent the effects of the increase in sea level expected by 2100 due to climate change and to support coastal populations who will have to cope with this phenomenon.
